About C.A.F.E.
Columbus Area Fish Enthusiasts is a not-for-profit organization.
Its purpose is to:
- Organize aquarium enthusiasts in and around central Ohio.
- Provide education about and support for the keeping of aquatic life.
- Provide a publication by and for the members of CAFE that offers the opportunity to share information and knowledge.
CAFE will be holding five bi-monthly meetings this year plus the
Christmas/Holiday dinner. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker
pertaining to a particular aspect of the aquatic hobby. There will also be
a raffle, BAP/HAP submissions, and a mini auction at each meeting. Fellowship with
other hobbyists is the norm as we maintain a relaxed and friendly atmosphere
where novices and experts alike may exchange ideas and experiences.
You need not be a member to attend meetings and everyone is welcome to join CAFE.

Meetings begin at 7:30 PM on the fourth Friday of even-numbered months (February, April, June, etc...) except December when the Christmas banquet is held on the third Friday (please note the banquet will limited to club members only). A club event or activity will be held on non-meeting months. More information on club meetings and activities can be found by visiting the Meetings Page.
REMEMBER: The 4th Friday of the month is not always the last Friday of the month.
CAFE also holds Spring and Fall auctions each year. There is a 70/30 seller/club split at the auction. Typical auction items include Fish, Plants, Aquatic Inverts (shrimp, crayfish, etc...), Live Food Cultures and New and Gently Used dry goods. New for 2008 will be our first ever CAFE Swap Meet. CAFE provides a venue for buyers and sellers to gather. This is a great opportunity for sellers as the uncertainty that an auction brings is not an issue, and its a great opportunity for buyers to still pick up some great deals, including some items that may not be commonly available in auctions.
